PETA offering free straw dog bedding Nov. 17

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is offering free straw bedding for dogs Saturday, Nov. 17 at Downing-Gross Cultural Center in Newport News.

The event will start at 10 a.m. and last until the straw is gone.

According to the organization, "Newport News Animal Services will also offer free rabies vaccinations to dogs and cats who are 12 weeks of age and older."

Downing-Gross Cultural Center is at 2410 Wickham Ave., Newport News.
