Author William C. Wooldridge to visit Mariners' Museum

William C. Wooldridge, the author of "Mapping Virginia: From the Age of Exploration to the Civil War" will visit the Mariners' Museum on Thursday, Nov. 8.

Wooldridge will discuss his 392-page book released from the University of Virginia Press. The book features more than 300 maps from the author's private collection.

The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Mariners' Museum, 100 Museum Drive, Newport News.
