The Newport News Police Department reported the following incidents Nov. 3.

Dean M. Halberg, 49, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 12:13 a.m. on Warwick Boulevard.

Jeanette A. Callis, 31, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence at 1:15 a.m. on West Avenue.

Marcus T. McBride, 26, was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony using a firearm at 1:27 a.m. on Jefferson Avenue.

Joseph R. Carter, 28, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 4:54 a.m. on Center Avenue.

Stephen W. Settle, 34, was arrested on charges of assault at 6:11 a.m. on Sterling Street.

Christopher G. Thompson, 19, was arrested on charges of possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age at 8:49 a.m. on 26th Street.

Andrew J. Johnson, 24, was arrested on charges of contempt of court at 10:08 a.m. on Motoka Drive.

Shekita L. Sharpe, 25, was arrested on charges of possession or use of drugs at 10:28 a.m. on 30th Street.

Carmen R. Ford, 43, was arrested on charges of issuance of a bad check at 12:07 p.m. on Manor Road.

Xavier T. King, 22, was arrested on charges of domestic assault at 12:15 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue.

Samuel G. Payne, 57, was arrested on charges of contempt of court at 1:09 p.m. on Oak Avenue.

Michael C. Burnette, 29, was arrested on charges of burglary at 1:20 p.m. on Ivy Avenue.

Vincent A. Thomas, 60, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 3:38 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue.

Christina N. Swearingen, 33, was arrested on charges of battery at 5:10 p.m. on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard.
